Description

AF 100 is a UL 181A-P/B-FX listed aluminum foil tape designed for HVAC applications. It's perfect for joining and sealing joints, connections, and seams on rigid fiberglass ductboard and flexible air ducts. This all - in - one tape forms airtight bonds in temperatures from -20°F to 260°F and humid conditions, ensuring full system closure. As a UL 181A - P listed product, it can replace mechanical fasteners on rigid ductboard. You can save up to 10%* on home energy costs when you properly seal and insulate your home with Duck® brand weatherization products. The energy savings estimate is based on U.S. Department of Energy recommendations for typical U.S. houses built between 1970 - 1989, but actual savings may vary. Features include being UL 181A - P/B - FX listed, having a liner, excellent adhesion, flexibility, and superior stability in extreme temperature changes. It's suitable for Building & Construction (Abatement/Containment/Restoration, HVAC/Insulation), Industrial MRO (Facilities Maintenance), and is proudly Made in USA. The tape has a 2 - mil dead - soft aluminum foil backing, an acrylic - based adhesive, and a non - contaminating, siliconized, flat, white paper release liner. Physical properties like adhesion to stainless steel, elongation, service temperature range, etc. are provided, though individual rolls may vary slightly. Available colors, lengths (60.1 yd), and widths (2.5 in, 2.83 in) are offered, with lead times possible. Store the tape in its original packaging in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and use it within 12 months of shipment. Apply it on clean, dry, and grease - free surfaces. Applicable standards include UL 181A - P, UL 181B - FX, UL Listed, FSI 25/SDI 50, and it's tested according to UL 723.

Using AF 100 aluminum foil tape is easy. First, make sure the surface where you'll apply the tape is clean, dry, and free of grease or oil. This will help the tape stick better. Then, simply unroll the tape and place it on the joint, connection, or seam you want to seal. Press it firmly to ensure an airtight bond. When it comes to storage, keep the tape in its original packaging. Find a cool and dry area away from direct sunlight. It's best to use the tape within 12 months of the shipment date to maintain its quality. Remember, the energy savings claim is an estimate, and your actual savings will depend on factors like how well you seal and insulate your home, the size and age of your home, local energy costs, and the regional climate.
