Description
E-Cure is an advanced, clear water-based concrete curing compound. It's the solution to compatibility issues with flooring adhesives. Ideal for spray application, it cures, hardens, and dustproofs concrete, ensuring proper strength development. E-Cure creates a temporary membrane to boost concrete durability and meets ASTM C309 Type 1D, Class A & B standards for moisture retention on hard-troweled surfaces. It might even help you earn LEED credits. Key features include maintaining the concrete's natural color without yellowing, being odorless, non-flammable, and VOC-compliant. It won't hinder the adhesion of secondary coatings, toppings, or concrete adhesives. The cure membrane disappears in 3 - 5 days. It resists acids, oils, greases, salts, and tire marks. Approved for USDA facilities and certified for potable water structures, it has fugitive dye and zero VOC emissions. It meets NSF/ANSI 61 performance requirements and has passed independent adhesion tests according to tile council standards. Apply E-Cure after final finishing and when bleed water recedes. Use a sprayer, brush, or roller, with spraying being the best. Apply at temperatures between 40°F and 90°F. Clean immediately with water and a squeegee to avoid residue. Protect metal, glass, painted, and brick surfaces. Available in 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon pails, it has a two-year shelf life when stored in the original, sealed container. Coverage varies by surface finish: 600 - 800 sq ft/gal for hard troweled, 300 - 400 sq ft/gal for broom or float, 200 - 300 sq ft/gal for rough, 400 - 500 sq ft/gal for vertical, and up to 1000 sq ft/gal on highly polished surfaces with a micro-fiber applicator. SpecChem warrants it's defect-free and compliant with LEED V.4 and ASTM C 309 Type 1D, Class A & B standards, with a limited replacement warranty.
How to use E-Cure: After the concrete is finished and the bleed water has gone, you can apply E-Cure. You can use a sprayer, brush, or roller, but spraying works best. Make sure the temperature is between 40°F and 90°F when you apply it. If you apply too much and see residue or white crystals, clean it right away with water and a squeegee. Also, protect metal, glass, painted, and brick surfaces from contact with E-Cure. Storage: Keep it in its original, sealed container. It'll last for two years from the manufacture date. Maintenance: There's not much to do for maintenance. Just make sure to follow the application instructions properly. After 3 - 5 days, the cure membrane will disappear on its own. Remember, E-Cure is great for keeping the concrete's natural color, and it's safe as it's odorless, non - flammable, and meets VOC regulations. It can also resist many things like acids and oils. If you have any problems, SpecChem offers a limited warranty for defective products.
