Description

The Norton Clipper Charger wet core bit features long - lasting segments, perfect for drilling abrasive materials like asphalt. It offers an outstanding balance of performance and price. With laser - welded segments, it penetrates faster, delivering excellent drilling speed. The bit segments have a long life when used on abrasive materials. This bit is for wet use only and uses a laser attachment process. There are two sizes available: 3 In. Diameter with a segment thickness of 0.140 In., segment length of 0.945 In., 7 segments, 1 1/4 In. - 7 Female connection type, and a max operating speed of 1300 RPM (Part # 70184684150); and 6 In. Diameter with a segment thickness of 0.165 In., segment length of 0.945 In., 12 segments, 1 1/4 In. - 7 Female connection type, and a max operating speed of 665 RPM (Part # 70184684153).

Using this Norton Clipper Charger wet core bit is quite straightforward. First, make sure you select the right size bit for your job. The 3 - inch one is great for smaller - scale tasks, while the 6 - inch is for larger projects. Connect the bit to your drill using the 1 1/4 In. - 7 Female connection. This bit is for wet use only, so keep a water source handy during drilling. Turn on your drill and start at a slow speed to let the bit get into the material. Once it's set, you can increase the speed. Remember to stay within the max operating speed limits (1300 RPM for the 3 - inch bit and 665 RPM for the 6 - inch bit) to avoid damaging the bit. As for maintenance, after each use, clean the bit with water to remove any debris. Check the segments regularly for signs of wear. If you notice excessive wear or damage, it's time to replace the bit. Store the bit in a dry place to prevent rusting.
