Using this screed chair is easy. First, fasten the base to the wood deck. Then, insert your 2' x 4' lumber or 1 - 1/2' diameter pipe screed into the screed receiver. You can adjust the height within +/- 1 inch using the adjustable ring. If you want to use a 1 O.D pvc pipe, cut it to your desired height and use it as well. Make sure the base is firmly attached to the deck to ensure stability. When not in use, store the screed chairs in a dry place to prevent damage.
