This LED headlamp is powered by an external battery compartment. It offers three lighting modes: a wide-angle beam, a 26° center beam, and a 165° ambient light beam. All performance is measured under the ANSI/NEMA FL1-2009 standard, and the brightness lasts until it drops below 10% of the startup value. When the light is emitted 19.6 inches (50 cm) away from the subject, the illuminated surface diameter is about 39.3 inches (100 cm). The three brightness levels are 500 lm, 250 lm, and 50 lm. Using your GRATI-LITE™ F Series headlamp is a breeze. First, open the external battery compartment (you can do this even with gloves on) and insert 3 AA 1.5V batteries. Once the batteries are in, close the compartment. To switch between the three lighting modes - wide-angle, 26° center beam, and 165° ambient light - just use the control on the headlamp.
