The new MEGA Tile Cutters are excellent for slicing large - format ceramic and porcelain tiles. They can handle tiles up to 15mm thick and 180cm long. Key features include a single - movement return to the scoring position, sturdier and fixed (screwed) guides for more cutter rigidity. It has a tungsten carbide scoring wheel on a zinc - coated carbon steel bar. You can cut and break tiles on the same base without removing the tile, and an articulation system allows tile separation at any angle. The breaking system, backrest bar, and guide supports are made of injected aluminum, and it's easy to access and change the scoring wheel.

Using this tile cutter is straightforward. First, place the tile on the cutter base. Align it with the guides to ensure a straight cut. Then, use the scoring wheel to make a cut line on the tile. After scoring, use the breaking system to separate the tile at the scored line. You can adjust the angle of separation thanks to the articulation system. When using, be careful not to force the cutter too hard as it may damage the scoring wheel. For maintenance, keep the cutter clean after each use. Wipe off any tile dust or debris. Periodically check the scoring wheel for wear and replace it when necessary. Store the cutter in a dry place to prevent rust on the zinc - coated carbon steel bar.
