Using the Hawk 2 - Speed XHD floor machine is easy. First, plug it into a suitable power source (either 115V, 60 Hz or 230V if you've chosen the optional power). You can adjust the speed using the 2 - speed Hi - Lo switch on the handle. For stripping and scrubbing, set it to 165 RPM, and for polishing, switch to 300 RPM. Remember that the pad driver and water tank need to be purchased separately and installed before use. When using, hold the one - piece chrome heavy - duty steel handle which can be locked in different positions for your comfort. The machine has dual steel triggers and a thumb - operated safety switch, so always make sure they are working properly to keep you safe. Also, use the negative pressure on/off switch as needed for better control. For maintenance, after each use, clean the machine thoroughly. Check the power cord for any damages.
