Makita has long been a pioneer in the cordless impact driver market, and the 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT19) raises the bar. It offers four speed power selections (0 - 1,100/ 0 - 2,100/ 0 - 3,200/ 0 - 3,600 RPM & 0 - 1,100/ 0 - 2,600/ 0 - 3,600/ 0 - 3,800 IPM), giving you precise control for a wide range of fastening jobs.
The XDT19 comes with Assist Mode (A-mode). This mode drives at low speed until tightening starts, preventing 'screw cam-out' and 'cross threading'. There are also two Tightening Modes (T-mode) for quick tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin metal, protecting both the screw and the workpiece.
With a one-touch 4-speed power selector button under the chuck, you can change speeds with one hand. The reverse rotation auto-stop mode stops rotation and impact when the fastener is loosened enough, avoiding over-loosening and dropped fasteners.
It's part of Makita's large 18V LXT® system, powered by fast-charging 18V Lithium-Ion batteries. These batteries spend more time working and less time on the charger.
Makita's Star Protection Computer Controls™ enhance tool performance and battery life. This communication technology allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real-time, protecting against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The tool can also use Makita 18V LXT® and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with Star Protection.
Other features include a dual ball bearing chuck to reduce bit wobble, built-in L.E.D. lights on both sides for better visibility, a compact and ergonomic design, and a rubberized soft grip for comfort. The brushless motor is efficient, runs cooler, and has a long life. It also uses Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) for dust and water resistance.
The 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion 2.0Ah battery BL1820B has an integrated L.E.D. charge level indicator, provides up to 50% more run time per charge than BL1815, and charges fully in 25 minutes or less. The tool, battery, and charger come with a 3-year limited warranty. Always use genuine Makita batteries and chargers.

Using your Makita 18V LXT® 4-Speed Impact Driver is easy. First, insert the appropriate 1/4' hex bit into the one-touch chuck. Then, select the right speed for your job using the one-touch 4-speed power selector button. You can choose from four speed settings for different fastening needs.
When using the Assist Mode (A-mode), the driver will start at a low speed to prevent issues like 'screw cam-out' and 'cross threading'. If you're working with self-drilling screws in thick or thin metal, use the Tightening Modes (T-mode) for faster and safer tightening.
For loosening fasteners, the reverse rotation auto-stop mode will stop the tool when the fastener is loosened enough, so you don't have to worry about over-loosening or dropping the fastener.
Remember to use only genuine Makita 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries with a Star symbol. These batteries charge quickly and have long run times. The BL1820B battery has an integrated L.E.D. charge level indicator, so you can easily check the charge.
To maintain your tool, keep it clean, especially in harsh job site conditions. The Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) helps protect the tool from dust and water, but it's still a good idea to wipe it down after use. Store the tool in a dry place.
The tool is covered by a 3-year limited warranty, but to ensure its best performance and longevity, always follow the instructions and use only genuine Makita parts and accessories.
