The fire rating shows a flame spread of 25 and smoke developed of 50 according to ASTM E84/UL 723 Caulking & Sealant @ ¾' bead. Using HandiFoam Window & Door is easy. First, choose the right size for your project. You can use a straw applicator or a Handi-Tool Dispensing Unit to apply the foam. Just point it at the gap between the window or door and the frame and squeeze gently. It'll be tack-free in about 5 minutes, and you can cut off any excess in less than an hour. It'll fully cure within 12 - 24 hours. When using it, make sure the area is clean and dry. Keep it away from open flames as it has a certain fire rating. Store it in a cool, dry place and use it within 15 months. If you notice any mold or moisture issues later, don't worry, this foam is designed to resist them. That's all you need to know to get the best out of HandiFoam Window & Door.
