Description

The Power-Stud Plus SD1 is a top - notch, fully threaded, torque - controlled wedge expansion anchor. It's crafted from zinc - plated carbon steel body and an expansion clip for excellent quality. This anchor is engineered to perform consistently in both cracked and uncracked concrete. Ideal base materials include normal - weight concrete, lightweight concrete, concrete over steel deck, and grouted concrete masonry. Key features: It works great in high and low - strength concrete, has the same nominal drill bit size as the anchor diameter, can be installed through standard fixture holes, has a length ID code and identifying marking on the head, and allows for follow - up expansion under tensile loading. General applications range from structural connections like beam and column anchorage, safety - related attachments, barriers, fencing, mezzanines, to tension zone applications such as cable trays and pipe supports. It also meets numerous approvals, including those from the International Code Council, Underwriters Laboratories, and FM Approvals, ensuring its reliability for seismic and wind loading (SDC A - F).

Using the Power - Stud Plus SD1 is easy. First, make sure you choose the right drill bit size, which is the same as the anchor diameter. Drill a hole in your base material, like concrete or masonry. Then, insert the anchor through the standard fixture holes. When installing, apply the appropriate torque to control the expansion. Note that you need to check the base material is suitable, such as normal - weight or lightweight concrete. Also, ensure the anchor is correctly aligned during installation. For maintenance, keep the anchor clean from dirt and debris. If you notice any signs of damage, like rust on the zinc - plated parts, consider replacing the anchor to maintain its performance and safety.
