Description

These 3/8' Sanko drop - in anchors are perfect for mounting into heavy materials like concrete for a semi - flush finish. Each box contains 100 concrete anchors. Trusted in core drilling, these anchors are 15% stronger than the competition. They're versatile and work with bolts and threaded rods of any length. For a flush finish, drill the hole the same length as the anchor; drill deeper for more embedment in masonry projects. If the anchor isn't needed anymore, just plug or fill it with cement to smooth the surface. We recommend using our setting tool for proper installation. The values on the chart are average ultimate values, only a guide, not guaranteed. A 4:1 safety factor (25%) is a generally accepted safe working load. The concrete compressive strength should be 2,987 psi. The inside threads are machine - rolled for better holding strength. Similar to the CT - type anchor, these drop - in anchors have a flanged (lipped) top for semi - flush installation in concrete and are set with an expansion plug and a setting tool.

Using these Sanko GT - 3030U drop - in anchors is easy. First, drill a hole in the concrete. If you want a flush finish, make the hole the same length as the anchor; for more embedment in masonry projects, drill deeper. The drill bit diameter you need is 1/2'. Then, insert the anchor into the hole. Use the HT - 3040 setting tool to set the anchor with an expansion plug. These anchors work well with bolts and threaded rods of any length. Remember, the concrete compressive strength should be 2,987 psi. The values on the chart are just a guide, so use a 4:1 safety factor for a safe working load. If you don't need the anchor anymore, simply plug or fill it with cement to make the surface smooth again. There's no special maintenance needed for these anchors, but always store them in a dry place to prevent rust.
