Using the 18V LXT® Brushless 10-Inch Top Handle Chain Saw is easy. First, make sure you have a fully charged 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately) and insert it into the saw. When starting the saw, keep it on a stable surface and use the variable speed trigger to control the cutting speed. For dense materials, switch to the torque boost mode. Remember to adjust the automatic chain lubrication according to your usage. The large oil filling port with a view window makes it easy to add and check the bar oil level. After each use, check the chain tension. The captured bar nut and lateral chain tensioning make this process convenient. If you're not using the saw for a while, remove the battery. The built-in L.E.D. on/off switch with an auto power-off function will shut the saw off after 60 seconds to save battery life.
