Using this drill is easy. First, make sure you have a fully charged Makita 18V LXT Lithium - Ion battery with the star symbol (battery sold separately). Insert the battery into the drill. Select the right speed setting for your task. For lighter jobs, use the lower speed (0 - 500 RPM), and for tougher jobs, switch to the higher speed (0 - 1700 RPM). To install or remove a bit, use the convenient 1/2' keyless chuck. When you're done with your work, press the electric brake to stop the drill quickly. As for maintenance, keep the drill clean. After using it in a dusty or wet environment, wipe it down. Thanks to the Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), it can handle some tough conditions, but it's still good to clean it regularly. Also, always use genuine Makita batteries and chargers to ensure the best performance and protect the tool with Star Protection Computer Controls™. Don't overload the tool, as this can lead to overheating and reduce the battery life. And remember, it comes with a 3 - year limited warranty, so if you have any problems, reach out to Makita.
